Women in Edmonton need to have a stronger support network so that they can overcome adversity. The Courage in Action project strived to support the creation of a peer-to-peer informal support system for women in the Edmonton area by understanding existing opportunities, connecting a network of peers, and building relevant programming.

Phase 1 focused on connecting Courage in Action (CiA) Canada with organizations in the Edmonton region that are active in women’s support and have programming that could be leveraged. Phase 2 involved building a base for CiA in Alberta through networking, marketing, and creating programs.
