The Alberta provincial election was May 29th, 2023. Historically, youth (18-34) represent a lower percentage of the voting with a greater discrepancy between population counts and registered voters versus other age groups. Barriers to youth voting identified in the 2015 National Survey highlighted a low motivation to vote and access concerns.

This project aimed to address barriers to youth voting through an information campaign connecting youth to accurate information on election candidates, spreading awareness about the voting process and how to vote, and informing youth why their vote mattered in the last provincial election.
